Drum and Bass – Noisia meets Black Sun Empire

Pythius is begonnen met zoveel producers, met zijn vroege dagen gedomineerd door live optredens met bands als een drummer en een focus op rock en metal. Zijn verlangen om meer dan complexe percussieve structuren te bouwen en volledige composities te realiseren leidde ertoe dat hij begon te produceren, en compileerde zijn vele invloeden op trance, techno, metal en in het bijzonder in het begin van 2000, het tijdperk van tech-fueled drum en bas van BSE, Konflict, C4C, Vicious Circle en Concord Dawn en vinden zijn unieke euforische en zware geluid op deze reis. Zijn respect voor melodie en muzikale componenten komt continu door naast het krachtige vuil dat vaak de basis vormt voor zijn creaties, en verdere experimenten in andere genres zoals synthwave, techno en metal zullen vrijwel zeker in de toekomst verschijnen. Een toevallige connectie met Black Sun Empire in Utrecht leidde tot het delen van muziek en ideeën, en uitnodigingen om te spelen op blackout-avonden ontwikkelden zich al snel tot een uitnodiging om te verschijnen op hun baanbrekende Blackout-label, met de anthemische AIR RAID die wordt uitgebracht op zijn debuut ABANDON EP. Verdere releases op Blackout volgden, met de NEW ORDER en HERESY Eps en zijn remix van TELEKINESIS ft. COPPA’s track FIGHT CLUB legde een smetteloze spoor van auditieve carnage op raves overal, evenals zijn remix van Cause4Concern’s nummer MOONGERM en originele single BATTLECRUISER op de C4C OPNAMEN afdruk.

Met live-shows op enkele van de grootste drum & bass-evenementen ter wereld achter hem, waaronder Let It Roll, Sziget, Pirate Station en Animalz, evenals voortdurende ondersteuning van enkele van de grootste namen van de scene, zoals Black Sun Empire, Noisia, Ed Rush, Audio, The Prototypes, The Upbeats en Dirtyphonics – PYTHIUS is een maker en performer met diepe ondersteuning op de gebieden die ertoe doen, gekoppeld aan een reeks diepgaande en impactvolle releases. Pythius started out as many producers do, with his early days dominated by live performances with bands as a drummer and a focus on rock and metal. His desire to build more than complex percussive structures and realise full compositions led to starting to produce, compiling his many influences across trance, techno, metal and particularly the early 2000 era of tech-fuelled drum and bass from the likes of BSE, Konflict, C4C, Vicious Circle and Concord Dawn and finding his unique euphoric and weighty sound on this journey. His respect for melody and musical components continuously comes through alongside the powerful dirt that often provides the foundation of his creations, and further experimentations in other genres such as synthwave, techno and metal will almost certainly emerge in future. A coincidental connection with Black Sun Empire in Utrecht led to music and ideas being shared, and invitations to play at blackout nights soon evolved into an invitation to release on their seminal Blackout label, with the anthemic AIR RAID getting released on his debut ABANDON EP. Further releases on Blackout followed, with the NEW ORDER and HERESY Eps and his remix of TELEKINESIS ft. COPPA’s track FIGHT CLUB laying an immaculate trail of aural carnage at raves everywhere, as well as his remix of Cause4Concern’s track MOONGERM and original single BATTLECRUISER on the C4C RECORDINGS imprint.
