What is the real value of our data? The Deeply Personal Vending Machine explores the relationship people have with their personal data. The installation is able to capture data from the user in various ways. This allows the audience to negotiate step by step, which personal data they want to trade for a discount. The ultimate transaction is a free candy bar, but if made explicit which personal data has to be traded will the user still do so? Would you be able to resist the temptation?

 

Wat is de werkelijke waarde van onze data? The Deeply Personal Vending Machine onderzoekt de relatie tussen mensen en hun persoonsgegevens. De installatie kan op verschillende manieren data van de participant aflezen. Hierdoor kan het publiek stap voor stap onderhandelen welke persoonsgegevens ingeruild worden voor kortingen. De ultime transactie is een gratis snack. Kan je de verleiding weerstaan?
